FACTORS INFLUENCING ATTITUDES TOWARDS SEEKING PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP

This study is being run by Giovanni Foglia at London Metropolitan University, and is investigating factors influencing attitudes towards seeking professional psychological help in adults who identify as affected by Depersonalisation and Derealisation Disorder.

In the preliminary research, 53.2% of 171 respondents reported experiencing symptoms of Depersonalisation and Derealisation disorder without a formal diagnosis. This prompted the team to explore the underlying reasons for this phenomenon.

To delve deeper into this issue, a questionnaire has been developed consisting of basic demographic questions (e.g. sex, age) and four psychometric scales aimed at measuring various variables related to this topic.

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary, and the questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. You are free to withdraw from the study at any point without any consequences.

This study has been awarded ethical approval. You can take part by completing the survey here.
