TRANSDIAGNOSTIC DISSOCIATIVE SYMPTOMS

This study is recruiting participants aged over 18 with mental health disorders and recurring dissociative symptoms for a study about how these symptoms relate to psychological and physical functioning.

This study focuses on dissociative experiences and how they affect individuals with a range of mental health conditions. By exploring the relationship between dissociation, emotional processing, cognitive control, and daily life experiences, we hope to contribute to improving clinical strategies for managing dissociative symptoms.

We are seeking individuals with confirmed or suspected mental health diagnoses who may experience dissociative symptoms impacting their daily lives. Participation involves:

  •  An initial screening call and online questionnaires.

  • A laboratory session at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN).

  • An optional one-week remote follow-up using a smartphone app.

As a gesture of thanks, participants will receive a £30 Love2Shop voucher for completing the laboratory session and an additional £30 voucher upon completing the remote follow-up phase.
